The group "Tautumeitas" has created a sensual video

The song “Pāde” is one of the rare songs in the album “Tautumeitu”, in which no citation of a folk melody was used, “says the author of the music Asnate Rancāne. “It simply came to our notice then. It is a personal story about self-confidence, about finding your inner strength, about raising your foot. May it grow strong, healthy, rich and happy. ”

The director of the video is theater-experienced director and actress Inga Tropa, who says the following about the collaboration with “Daughters” and the video: “The Magical Power of Women. This pure and true femininity rains abundantly and winds from the songs of power sung in the hearts of the Folk Girls, from their sensual and life-energy-moving movements and agile, inviting dance steps, from their fiery eyes radiating wisdom, passion and love. We have also woven it into the video – awareness of the power of unadulterated femininity, flowering, courage and freedom. ”

The main role of the women in the video is played by the twin sisters Ieva Anna Polevska and Marta Paul Polevska, who had to perform even such complex activities as levitation with the help of professional stuntmen during the filming. “I participated in the filming of the video for the first time, but I have had the filming experience before, filming in various commercials. During the filming of the video, I had a great and unforgettable experience, we had a great cooperation with the team ”about the experience of filming, says Ieva Anna. The nurses have been professionally involved in figure skating for 17 years, currently both are studying physiotherapy at Riga Stradins University.

Cameraman Renārs Muskars, lighting artist Ģederts Siliņš, montage director Anna Šteinberga participated in the creation of the video, artists Odetta Birmane, Indra Salceviča took part in creating the costumes, Andris Pudāns, Ilmārs Sieks, Ilze Ūdre, Santa Kola joined the creative team.

Fashion artist Indra Komarova takes care of the new stage image of “Tautumeita”, but artist Brigita Stroda has created new, unique wreaths for each national girl.

The group TAUTUMEITAS was formed in 2015, it consists of six musicians – Asnate Rancāne, Aurēlija Rancāne, Ilona Dzērve, Lauma Bērza, Laura Marta Līcīte and Laura Liepiņa. It started with singing traditional music, trying to get closer and imitate the narrators. But – the closer they went to the songs, the closer the songs came to the Folk Girls, until it seemed natural to combine them with everything else they have heard and felt like in this world.

At the beginning of this year, Tautumeitas won the Music Record of the Year Award as the best ethno and folk music album of the year for a joint project with the bagpipe and drum group “Auļi”.
