The group “Krasts” releases the song “Your roots in your land” in a new sound / Article

When the song “Your Roots in Your Land” was performed by the group “Krasts” in the “Microphone” song poll more than thirty years ago, it became one of the musical symbols of the Patriotism and emotional uplift of the people during the Awakening. Well, the band members have decided to give this song a new sound.

As Aivars Auseklis, the musician of the group “Krasts”, told the LTV show “Rīta Panorāma”, the topicality of the song has not disappeared even today, and for several years he felt that the song should create a new sound and that it “should rise to a new level”.

In order to realize the idea to create the new sound of the song, Aivars Auseklis visited another former member of “Krasta” – Modri ​​Laizāns, as well as invited composer, music producer, arranger and keyboardist Kristaps Krievkalns and percussionist Miķelis Vīti.

It is planned that the group “Krasts” will continue to offer listeners to browse the group’s well-known works and to hear previously unpublished compositions by the group’s most prolific songwriter Einārs Kizjalo.
