“Vizma Belševica’s poem” Your Roots in Your Land “, dressed in the music of Einārs Kizjalo, is like a well-formulated reflection of events and values in all stages of history for the Latvian people. We are convinced that this song deserves a new sound guitarist and songwriter Aivars Auseklis.
In order to realize the idea and create the new sound of the song, Auseklis looked for another former member of “Krasts” Modri Laizāns (later he worked in the groups “Favorable type”, “Jukebox”, “Turaidas roze”, “Marhils un draugi”) and invited the composer, music producer, arranger and keyboardist Kristaps Krievkalns and percussionist Miķelis Vīti, who has collaborated with Laima Vaikulis, Jānis Stībelis, “Riga Gospel Choir”, “Melo-M” and many others.
“The song, which has once earned the listeners’ recognition, once again invites you to listen and go into the basic message of the poem, remembering that your roots are in your country. We especially want to address our compatriots living outside Latvia with these words,” emphasizes Auseklis.

The group “Krasts” promises that in the updated sound it will continue to offer listeners both to browse the group’s famous work and to hear previously unpublished compositions of the group’s most prolific songwriter Einārs Kizjalo.
