The concert will feature the opening of both the group’s 60 song book and Guntars Račs’ latest poem book “365”, part 3.

“But bet” about the new edition in the introduction of the book writes: “1991. We were all already hardened in serious projects of renowned composers and authors. So when we founded the group “bet bet”, we wanted to create something for our own pleasure, entertainment and good time together. In this book, we tried to summarize the songs that have stood the test of time in both concerts and recordings. You have heard many of them on radio stations, concerts and TV shows. But here you will also find some compositions, the existence of which you may have had no idea. The collection also includes songs composed for us (and not only for us) by Maestro Raimonds Pauls, with whom we have three joint studio albums, as well as joint performances in theater performances and concerts. In this book you will also find the joint work of Jānis Lūsēns and Guntars “Nakts” and other miracles that have been included in our repertoire over the years, borrowing them from the list of songs performed by Edgars Liepiņš or Gundars Ruļlis. “

Most of the songs are written jointly and separately by the group leader Siegfried Muktupāvels and the group drummer Guntars Račs – “Evening in the Wind”, “Knocking”, “My Beloved Girl”, “Day”, “Why I Don’t Have a Red Mercedes”, “I Don’t Love You” etc.

Compositions of the group’s guitarist Uģis Tirzītis also play an important role in the repertoire, including “Last time”, “My child”, “I live for you alone”, “Acacia”, “Let’s start all over again”, etc. However, the book also includes compositions by Raimonds Pauls group albums “Don’t blame me” and “Summer will never end” – “Silent song”, “While the candles are burning”, “When I’m a little girl”, “Little fight”, “Song about living”, “Summer will never end”, etc.

Sheet music was prepared for publication by Rūdolfs Bērtiņš and Līga Ivāne. The design of the book was created by the artist Guntars Ošenieks. Cover photo by Aiga Rēdmane. The book also includes a biography of the group and a couple of historical photographs. The new edition is available in bookstores and can be ordered on the publisher’s website micrec.lv.
