On the very eve of the pandemic, the band “Audiokvartāls” noticed the release of its debut album “Runa nav par cash”, for the title song of which a video has just been made. Due to an emergency situation, both the concert presentation event and the concert tour had to be canceled, but even during this time the band did not pay: they organized concerts online, created three videos and did not sit idly by. Because – it’s not about money…
The author of the video for the song “It’s Not About Money” is the author of the group’s soloist Ivars Ozoliņš, and the clip was made in collaboration with Andris Koemecs, with whom he also created other visual works of the group, as well as the photo studio “Yeko Studio”. The story of the song is about a woman who likes to break men’s hearts and enjoy it, so the group members created a campaign on social networks, inviting women to submit their photos, some of which are included in the video, symbolizing the musicians’ ex-girlfriends.
Along with this video, “Audiokvartāls” also announces changes in its composition – drummer Māris Skrodis returns to the group, replacing the already beloved Ludwig Lielaus, who moved to abroad due to personal circumstances. “We would like to thank Ludwig very much for his contribution to the group’s work, the creation of his debut album and also to our personal and professional growth. Together with him, we finally realized the dream of an album, as well as found the right musical direction in which to work. ” It is interesting that the video shows both drummers, thus capturing the CV of this important event “Audiokvartāls”.
