Raipur ∙ The bridegroom and bride were found dead before the wedding reception. The incident took place in Raipur, Chhattisgarh. The police suspect that the young man committed suicide after stabbing the woman. The deceased were identified as Aslam (24) and Kakhasha Banu (22) who were residents of Raipur Thikrapara Police Station.
Both of them got married last Sunday. The wedding reception was scheduled for Tuesday night. The police said that the incident happened just before the reception. There was a fight between the two. The police suspect that the husband stabbed the woman. Then he also committed suicide. Aslam and Banu got into a fight while getting ready in the room.

The groom’s mother came running after hearing the girl’s cry. But the room was locked from inside. When there was no response even after calling for a while, the family members forcefully opened the window. Both of them were seen lying unconscious on the ground covered in blood. When the police came to know the information, they broke the door and entered, but both of them were dead. The body was sent for post-mortem. The police informed that the knife was recovered from the room and the investigation is in progress.
