The prosecutor of the Republic of Grenoble, Éric Vaillant, will hold a press conference on Monday to provide an update on “the continuation of the investigations in the investigation into the death of Victorine Dartois”, reports Le Dauphiné Libéré.
Victorine’s body was found last Monday, two days after her disappearance. An investigation for murder, kidnapping and forcible confinement was opened, the accidental thesis having been formally dismissed.
The student in BTS communication from Lycée Condorcet in Saint-Priest (Lyon metropolitan area), the youngest of a family of four children, had disappeared on her way home on Saturday around 7 p.m., after an afternoon of shopping with friends in a shopping center in Villefontaine (Isère).
It was on the way home, after a last phone call to her family at 6:50 p.m., saying that she “would arrive in 20 minutes” on foot, that she disappeared near the stadium adjoining a wooded area that ‘you can cross a path, running alongside the Turitin stream, shallow and cluttered with branches, where his body was discovered.
Sunday in Villefontaine, a crowd of several thousand people took part in a white march in tribute to the young student.
