The “summit dinner” organized by Laurent Wauquiez last June caused a scandal. We recall that the president of the Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes region had gathered around 90 people in Beaujolais, for an expense “just over 100 thousand euros”, financed with money from the Region, and therefore from taxpayers. When the case was revealed on Oct. 13, ecologists had taken legal action.
“No food waste, no waste of public money”
In opposition to this “nonsense”, they announce today that they will organize their dinner, entitled “Le souper des commoners”, on Wednesday 14 December to “share a hot soup and create beautiful regional synergies at a lower cost”.
On the “disco soup” program with unsold vegetables, “without wasting food or wasting public money”, the group Les Ecologistes addresses in a statement.
