Due to some delays at the start of the procession, the tens of thousands of attendees in Blankenberge had to exercise patience, but that was eventually rewarded. “We had some technical issues,” says director Davy. “Stream groups that suddenly didn’t feel like it anymore. Or flat tires. Nothing unsolvable, but it made for a difficult departure.”
Theme was “The Greatest Parade”. Organizer Davy wanted to turn the procession into a total spectacle with fire eaters, dancers, acrobatics and colorful extras. Matching music from the circus provided the necessary atmosphere along the course.
