It’s a new season that opens for the France U16 team. This Tuesday, August 15, the French Football Federation (FFF) has actually unveiled the list of players summoned by coach Lionel Rouxel for the August rally in Clairefontaine. The latter will be held more precisely from Monday August 21 to Thursday August 24, with two friendly matches on the program against the U17s of Quevilly-Rouen, on Wednesday August 23 at 3:30 p.m., then against the U17s of José Alcocer the next day, at 10 a.m. The FFF specifies that this is the first of nine courses scheduled on the U16 calendar, which include friendly matches and several tournaments: the Val-de-Marne Tournament in November, a UEFA development tournament in February and the Montaigu tournament in March. In the meantime, Lionel Rouxel has called up 34 players, born in 2008, for this course: 4 goalkeepers, 12 defenders, 8 midfielders and 10 forwards.
