The gray sector in the country tends to 50% – 2024-10-04 12:00:23

/ world today news/ The gray sector in the country tends to 50%. This was said by Mika Zaikova, independent financial expert, KT Podkrepa, reports the Focus agency.

“Until 2007, it ranged from 17 to 20%, and now some institutions say it is around 30-35%.” Half of the GDP goes somewhere on gray roads”, added Zaikova.

She explained that the gray sector in the country is increasing because many people who work 12-14 hours, but are assigned to 4 hours and are paid insurance for these hours.

According to her, no one paid taxes or insurance because of the high share of the gray economy.

“Both the state treasury and public funds are increasingly being emptied. The state is the worst insurer because it does not pay itself what it should pay in the funds – both for the children and for its employees. And that is why we currently have a deficit of over BGN 4 billion. Of course, these 4 billion BGN are also the transfer that the state allegedly pays for people’s insurance. I say supposedly because you can never be sure that this is the full insurance”, explained Mika Zaikova.
