The grandmother of the 2-year-old girl who was brutally injured in Raseiniai spoke for the first time: she believes in the only version of the incident

Minister of Social Security and Labor Monika Navickienė Delfi TV said in the program “Iš ššenje” that the child’s condition is improving.

“As far as I know, the girl’s condition is improving, the girl is recovering, of course, it’s probably too early to draw final conclusions, but I want to thank the doctors for their titanic efforts that helped the girl hang on to life,” – Delphi the minister says in the show.

The mother of the suspect woman spoke for the first time in the TV3 show “Priesh srovė” and showed the last messages she received from her daughter after the accident.

“She just wrote the last message that she couldn’t talk. Apparently, she was very sick, then I called her, wrote again, she didn’t write back. Then I found out that the officers took away the phone,” said the grandmother in the “Priješ srovė” program.

The woman showed the messages she received from her daughter. The woman adheres to the only version – if someone injured the baby, it was not her daughter.

The messages, as the woman informed, were quite fragmentary.

“That something bad happened. That you don’t even have the words…”, the grandmother said and says that at that time she did not clearly understand what had happened or who could be to blame. In the last messages, the woman informed that the girl will undergo an operation, and she is waiting outside the door of the operating room.

The suspect’s mother says she has only seen her daughter’s new friend a few times and claims that her daughter became more withdrawn after becoming friends with the new friend.

“When she got together with him, she changed, she became more closed,” the woman assures, adding that she heard a lot of bad things about her daughter’s new friend.

“Bad news is spreading about him, that he is a drug addict, a dealer… He didn’t have a job, but he had a good car, an apartment,” the grandmother told the show.

The woman responds only with good words about her daughter and assures that she does not understand what could have happened.

“I knew she (the woman’s daughter) wouldn’t do anything stupid, I trusted her. She is such a good person, you would agree and see how kind a person she is,” the grandmother told the show.

“I can’t sleep because of these thoughts for the third week, they don’t allow me to see my daughter, and the investigators don’t say anything,” says the woman in the TV3 program “Prieš srovė”.

“There is a suspicion that he may not have stuck his nails in himself. He puts all the blame on her. I think he’ll be nailed. No one will convince me otherwise,” the grandmother told the show.
