Mexico City. The closing ceremony of the Paris 2024 Olympic Games began on Sunday at the Stade de France, bringing to a close more than two weeks of sporting competitions.
The event began with the broadcast of aerial images of the River Seine and some important moments of an event that began on July 26 and will end this Sunday evening with the transfer of the flame to Los Angeles, the city that will host the next edition in 2028.

After a musical act led by French singer Zaho de Sagazan in the Tuileries Garden in the French capital, the French multi-medalist in Paris 2024, swimmer Léon Marchand, appeared, dressed in a black suit, to extinguish the Olympic cauldron located in this same square.
The closing ceremony then began at the Stade de France, where French President Emmanuel Macron and the President of the International Olympic Committee (IOC), Thomas Bach, greeted each other cordially before the Marseillaise began to be played.

The parade then began with representatives and athletes from the national delegations participating in Paris 2024.
The Mexican flag bearers were boxer Marco Verde, who won a silver medal, and Nuria Diosdado, a swimmer.
