The graduation of 255 female recruits in Saudi Arabia…and the authorities reveal their specialties

A medical team in Saudi Arabia managed to achieve an achievement after separating conjoined twins, and performing a surgery described as “complicated” due to the difficulty of the case.

The Saudi Press Agency reported.SPAThursday, “The specialized surgical team (…) was able to separate the Iraqi Siamese twins, Omar and Ali, who are attached to the lower chest and abdomen, and share the liver, bile ducts, and intestines.”

She explained that the dismissal took place “after a complex surgery that lasted 11 hours, and was carried out in six stages, in which 27 consultants, specialists, and nursing and technical cadres participated.”

The Iraqi ambassador to Saudi Arabia, Abd al-Sattar Hadi al-Janabi, appreciated the “unlimited support provided by the government (…) for humanitarian work,” noting that “the kingdom is a pioneer in doing good.”

The Iraqi ambassador praised the efforts of the medical team led by Dr. Abdullah Al-Rabeeah, expressing his great happiness at seeing the twins, Omar and Ali, separated.

“This operation is the 54th of the Saudi program for separating conjoined twins,” said Dr. Abdullah Al-Rabeeah, head of the medical and surgical team for the separation of Siamese twins.

He added, “The Saudi program has been able, during the past 32 years, to take care of 127 Siamese twins from 23 brotherly and friendly countries.”
