Governor Arif Muhammad Khan returned to Thiruvananthapuram today. The Governor could clarify his position regarding the return of Saji Cherian to the cabinet. Raj Bhavan’s lawyer gave legal advice that it is the Constitutional responsibility of the Governor to accept the Chief Minister’s recommendation to be sworn in as a minister. The Governor can accept it or ask the Government for further clarification. The government asked for time to be sworn in on Wednesday. A decision on this will be made today or tomorrow. The Governor will reach Thiruvananthapuram at 7.00 pm.
