Thiruvananthapuram – The CPM has decided to end the controversy over raising the retirement age in public sector institutions to 60. Prime Minister Pinarayi Vijayan gave an explanation on this to the Secretariat of State.
The Prime Minister said on the secretariat that this decision was taken as part of the preparation of the general framework and was frozen as it was not party policy. The removal of Governor Arif Muhammad Khan from the office of Chancellor is also under consideration. The matter was discussed in the Secretariat of State of the CPM.
It is indicated that Kerala is also moving in the footsteps of other states. It has been argued that this will help to some extent stop the governor’s continued interventions. The final decision will be up to the State Committee. The state committee meets on Saturday and Sunday.
