Payroll, important changes in sight: waiting for the Tax Reform
We should soon see the implementation of the tax reform which could bring with it important news in terms of taxes. These include the possibility of opting for the Irpef cut in favor of the middle class. But not only that, among the other measures proposed also the abolition ofIRAP, simplification of IRES and reduction of other taxes.
The enabling law on tax reform was expected by the end of July but, given the other priorities, it was decided to postpone the matter for a few weeks. The main objectives, we recall, are to make increases in paychecks, making you pay less taxes on the other hand. The Tax Reform, in any case, will take place. As pointed out by the MEF undersecretary War, the times are in line with the provisions of the Recovery Plan and for this reason it will be discussed from September onwards.
On the other hand, in order to implement the reform, it will be necessary to find the resources to finance it. In this regard, Maria Cecilia Guerra reiterated how we should “try to make a reform also rebalance the load, evasion recoveries but which obviously will not be able to reduce taxes for everyone because we do not have the budget conditions“.
To this end, it is thought that the revenue can be recovered by making those who evade VAT pay more taxes. In fact, about 35 billion are lost every year. That way you could get enough money back for reshape the personal income tax rates. At the moment, however, these are only hypotheses. All that remains is to wait for the next few months and see if the government will be able to implement a reform capable of guaranteeing higher wages and lower taxes.
