“This incompetent government has decided to destroy our country completely and definitively. She took it into her head that she would drag us into the war at any cost and even without Parliament’s consent,” declared the SPD chairman.
According to Okamura, the cabinet will use a constitutional amendment to drag the Czech Republic into the war, according to which the government could be given the right to decide on sending soldiers abroad, for example, to save Czech citizens in the event of their being threatened without parliamentary approval. However, the chairman of the SPD did not explain how such a mission could represent the introduction of the Czech Republic into the war.
“Less popular than the Protectorate Government”
According to Okamura, the only head of the opposition movement, who was present at the parliamentary hearing in the absence of ANO chairman Andrej Babiš, the government has lost its last vestiges of credibility. Fial’s cabinet is less popular than the protectorate government, Okamura further stated. According to him, this government collaborated with the Nazi regime because it had to, while Fial’s government collaborates with foreign powers because it wants to.
Okamura accused the government of completely deliberately impoverishing the country, parasitizing inflation, drawing extremely record revenues from value added tax. He called the Minister of Labor and Social Affairs Marian Jurečka (KDU-ČSL) the “minister of price gouging”. The head of the SPD also criticized the cabinet for actions within the EU. “In the Czech Republic you preach water and in Brussels you pour wine over barrels,” said the SPD chairman.
Okamura also accused the cabinet of wanting to “liquidate the Czech economy and Czech households” and of planning censorship and the introduction of the possibility of “criminal prosecution for inconvenient opinions” according to the plan to combat disinformation.
