The General Secretariat for Religious Affairs made public on Friday, through a press release, the price of the pilgrimage to Mecca for the year 2023. A price amounts to 57 million Guinean francs.
The department headed by Elhadj Karamo Diawara specified that registrations will begin on April 11 and continue until May 19.

The General Secretariat for Religious Affairs (SGAR) and the Ministry of Economy and Finance are happy to inform the believing people of Guinea that thanks to God and the tireless efforts of HE Colonel Mamadi DOUMBOUYA, President of the Transition, Chief of the State, Supreme Head of the Armed Forces, the hajj will take place this year at the holy places of Islam. Ten thousand (10,000) people are thus authorized to make the pilgrimage for the year 2023.
In this respect, despite the difficult global context, in execution of the high instructions of the President of the Transition, the price of the hajj which was 60,000,000 Guinean francs last year is set at fifty-seven million Guinean francs (57,000 .000 GNF) in 2023.
Candidates for the pilgrimage without age limit are therefore invited to make the following urgent arrangements:
1- Pay the amount of the hajj to the BCRG (in Conakry and in the branches of the said bank inside the country) in the accounts opened for this purpose and this, after delivery of a payment authorization by the General Secretariat of the Religious Affairs or by its dismemberments. Registrations which start on Tuesday April 11 will close on Friday May 19, 2023 at the Communal Secretariats of Religious Affairs of the six (6) communes of Conakry and in the prefectural Secretariats of the country;
2- Be in possession of a biometric passport valid for more than six months or obtain a new one immediately from the services appointed for this purpose at the Islamic Center of Donka;
3- Obtain a certificate of medical aptitude issued at the National Ignace Deen Hospital, at the Enta Nord Regional Hospital or at the CMCs of Conakry, regional and prefectural hospitals in the country;
4- Have the vaccination card against Covid-19, yellow fever and meningitis;
5- Bring 6 photos on a white background, a photocopy of the national identity card, provide 2 telephone numbers.
