What if you now had to present a negative test, a complete vaccination schedule or a certificate of recovery from Covid-19 to access your workplace? The Minister of Solidarity and Health, Olivier Véran, confirmed to the online media Brut, Saturday, the existence of “the question of the health pass, as we know it today, that we could possibly apply to job”. Adding that this option would be in the future bill presented in January. “The goal is to offer an application of this pass to parliamentarians,” we confirm to Matignon.

Meeting of the social partners on Monday
The executive confirms its strategy: no return to collective restrictions, but increased pressure on the unvaccinated: “We are still mobilizing on vaccination so as not to impose constraints on everyone”, we confirm at the Elysium. The Minister of Labor, Employment and Integration, Elisabeth Borne, repeats it: “nothing is decided at this stage”. It is advisable to “take the opinion of the social partners before any decision”, she assures.
It will bring them together by videoconference on Monday at 11 a.m. “It will also be necessary to discuss with them all the points that could raise its operational implementation”, adds the Minister. What penalties in the event of no pass or refusal to show it? Who will carry out the checks? What are the risks for companies that do not comply? These questions are already agitating the trade unions, which would have preferred an increase in the number of days in telework or greater access to vaccination in the workplace.
“Hostility on the part of the employees”
“The pass at work poses a problem of applicability, points out François Hommeril of the CFE-CGC. It risks encountering a form of hostility on the part of the employees and being bypassed.” Employers also fear conflicts. “There remains a small number of French refractory, it is very complicated to convince them and we will encounter the same difficulties as the State, warns François Asselin, president of the CPME. If the employee’s choice not to be vaccinated is personal, the company, which is a common good, does not have to be a victim. ” This employer representative pleads for the tests to remain valid forty-eight hours for an antigen and seventy-two hours for a PCR. He recommends that employers cannot be criminally prosecuted for breaches of medical confidentiality.
Since August 30, some personnel are already subject to the presentation of a valid pass to go to work. This is the case for all those who work in places where users must show their feet: cinemas, performance halls, bars, restaurants, etc. In Germany and Italy, a health pass is already required in the professional context since this autumn.
