According to the minister, the rapid and effective implementation of a response strategy made it possible to quickly control the spread of the epidemic. Among the measures implemented, we can cite the vaccination campaign with Ervebo, the vaccine designed by the American laboratory Merck, which has made it possible to immunize the relatives of the victims and therefore to limit the spread of the virus.
Following the announcement by the Congolese authorities, the World Health Organization (WHO) said in a statement that the monitoring devices put in place following the previous waves of contamination as well as the preparation of medical staff made it possible to react quickly to evil. Too, “rapid fundraising […] facilitated the end of the epidemic“. Indeed, the country was able to benefit from the support of the Central Emergency Response Fund (CERF) with the allocation of $ 4 million for the management of priority areas.
