The announced budget of 156 billion pesos to deal with fires sounds impressive, but what about the government’s debt regarding the previous fire season, which has not yet been resolved? While the Government continues to play firefighter, many families who lost everything in last year’s fires are still waiting for solutions.

In addition, the promise of using artificial intelligence to find fire sources and the deployment of 311 brigades across the country is good talk, but affected families continue to ‘ see how the government prioritizes media releases regarding concrete actions.
