In front of the newspaper, he announces two new measures:

* It will become more difficult to get a license to sell electricity. The Regulatory Authority for Energy (RME), which is responsible for the license for electricity companies, will also look at measures that make it easier to lose the license if you do not follow the rules, and introduce sanctions against companies that break the regulations.

* Introduce a requirement for the electricity sales companies and the industry organization Renewable Norway to develop and introduce a standard spot price agreement. All companies must offer the same agreement.

The Consumer Council has previously issued a strong warning against electricity companies that break the rules.

– We are dealing with an industry that is founded on pushing and tricking consumers into bad deals. Large and small players trick customers into paying dearly for electricity, said director of the Consumer Council Inger Lise Blyverket recently.

– It is very disturbing that there are so many electricity sales companies that break the regulations, says Aasland.
