Prime Minister Alain Claude Billie-By-Nze, set up Wednesday, April 12, a joint commission responsible for highlighting the main explanatory factors of the problem of high cost of living in Gabon.

The work in commissions of the national assizes on the expensive life was launched this Tuesday, April 12. The five commissions created are made up of actors from civil society and state agents who will work for 48 hours to highlight the main explanatory factors of the problem of high cost of living in Gabon. Indeed, it will be a question of working on the issues of food and catering, housing, transport, health, education, parafiscality and taxation.

According to the statistical data cited by the Minister of Consumer Affairs, during his speech for the occasion, 80% of the expenditure of middle-income households is directed towards these five sectors. “What we expect as a government is not just a litany of measures, but concrete proposals that we can implement immediately, in the short, medium and long terms,” ​​said Alain-Claude Bilie. -By-Nze, Prime Minister.

It should be noted that its work in the workshop will continue until next Thursday, April 13, which will be devoted to the validation and reading of the general report of the said meetings.
