The gorges of Jonte and the Causse Méjean

We should have put an end to the hike from that moment, pitch our tents on the causse, eat and then sleep until the next day. But it was not so, and it was under the drizzle that we walked along the Méjean corniche until reaching the car 3 hours later under the terrified gaze of the invertebrates exiting. The time to dry our feathers and put them in order, it was time for a snack. Between swimming, herpeto and hot chocolate the choice was tough, but we finally opted for the latter. As the weather improved, we went down to the riverside to surprise the Dipper and give each other a few friendly slaps. The water was cool, the leeches obese and the exuviae… is a qualifier necessary?
I point out here a fact of high gravity, namely that they wanted to abandon me in the forest while I abandoned myself to the daydreams caused by the ingestion of high doses of aquatic mint. Fortunately, Comrade Quentin was watching over the grain and I was able to return safely to our night lodge at Saint-Pierre des Tripiers – shared with three Green and Yellow Snakes, a few Soulcis Sparrows, Nightjars, Zizi Sparrows and Nightingales. They had the nerve to keep us awake beyond the statutory 10 p.m., indulging in incomprehensible games of childishness typical of passerines.
