Betrayal, fight for love and life. This is the promise of the second season of the series Zlatá labuť, which will introduce the audience to the further fates of popular heroes against the background of the difficult times of the summer of 1939. The premiere episode of the series, in which Marta Dancingerová, Adam Vacula, Petr Kostka, Beáta Kaňoková, Simona Lewandowska and Kristýna Ryška play the main roles, will be broadcast by TV Nova on Thursday 24 August 2023 and a week earlier on Voyo. This is stated by TV Nova in a press release available to the eXtra.cz editors.
The period series Golden Swan, which takes place against the background of the turbulent events of the turn of the 1930s and 1940s, is entering its second season. The plot takes us to May 1939, when it tightens properly. The Nazis begin to apply their power harshly to the Czech population. The Golden Swan department store also becomes a place where their rampage fully permeates everyday life, which brings a series of exciting moments and unexpected surprises to the fates of the main characters.
What’s new in the second series?
“The key theme of the second series is belonging and sustaining humanity in an inhuman time. So far it’s been about love, now it’s about for life,” TV Nova creative producer Klára Follová stated in a press release. She also revealed that the new season will offer more exterior scenes, and animals were also filmed.
The actresses in the roles of sales assistants, who wore new summer uniforms, received changes. Actress Marta Dancingerová (31), who plays the plain-spoken saleswoman Bára, confirmed this New TV: “We have new dresses in a different color and above all from a different, slightly more pleasant material. We also liked the original uniforms, which were very nice, but if you spend a lot of time in anything, you get a little tired of it after a while. So we welcomed this change with enthusiasm.”
Specific historical events will also affect the fate of the heroes of the series. It will be a football duel between the selections of Prague and Berlin, a patriotic march on Mount Říp and a boycott of public transport.
