“Most Streamed Record” is the latest “Golden Microphone” nomination, where the first award was presented in 2023. Also, local streaming results were published every week last year. In order to give a broader overview of the resonance of records released in Latvia in the world, the “Golden Microphone” nomination consists of global streaming results, which are manually added to the existing local streaming results. Due to a human error, the song “Dživot kaif” did not enter the top five.
On January 17, at a solemn event, the five nominees for the annual music recording award “Zelta mikrofons ’24” and the sympathies of cooperation partners were announced. Finķis and Patriša received the most nominations – five – for the song “Rocket Science”: song of the year, radio hit, video clip, most streamed record with “Elektrum” and “Elvi song”. The groups “Astro’n’out” and “Singapore satin” won four nominations, while “Sudden Lights”, “Instrumentiem”, Donam and Intar Busulis received three nominations each.
The “Golden Microphone ’24” ceremony will take place on March 8 at the event and conference center “Atta Centre” (Krasta iela 60). The event will be hosted by Sanda Dejus and Mārtiņš Spuris, and the audience can also visit it in person. As the first announced participation of “Singapore Satin” at the ceremony concert, the full program will be announced over time.
