LUXOR, KOMPAS.com – Archaeologists near Luxor partially recovered city of gold from time Pharaoh 3,000 years old, officials said on Saturday (10/4/2021).
Previously renowned expert Egypt, Zahi Hawass, earlier this week announced the discovery lost city of gold.
He reveals that the site was found near Luxor, the home of the legendary Valley of the Kings.

Betsy Bryan, professor of Egyptian art and archeology at Johns Hopkins University, said the discovery was the second most important archaeological find since Tutankhamun’s tomb nearly a century ago.
The jewels of the lost city of Pharaoh’s gold have been unearthed, and found pottery vessels of color, beetle amulets, and mud bricks with seals Amenhotep III.
The team began excavations in September at the temples of Ramesses III and Amenhotep III near Luxor, about 500 km south of Cairo.

He ruled for almost 40 years. His tenure was renowned for the opulence and grandeur of the building.
One of them is the Colossi of Memnon, two large stone statues near Luxor depicting Amenhotep III and his wife.
“It is not just us – we can see … economic activity, workshops and ovens,” said Mostafa Waziri, head of the Egyptian Council of Antiquities on Saturday.
Since the announcement of the discovery of Pharaoh’s golden city, some experts have denied the Hawass team was successful while others failed to find it.
Egyptian expert Tarek Farag on Friday (9/4/2021) posted on Facebook that the area was first excavated more than 100 years ago by a team from the New York Metropolitan Museum.
But Waziri dismissed the claim, saying that previous excavations were being carried out further south of the site.
