Gigi Becali planned to build the church in Pipera since 2007. In particular, at that time, the businessman promised to build a place of worship if FCSB eliminated Galatasaray in the last preparatory round in the Champions League .

I got 6 million euros on this land here and many said “Let go, you are doing it somewhere else!”. My work is now complete after 17 years. Now thank God that he sent this (turla n.ed.). Today I planted that big dome. It will be the most beautiful church in the world. They are much larger in size, but in terms of beauty… It will be made of mosaic, with golden pebbles. Only the interior costs 5-6 million euros.
