“The Godfather” star James Caan has died, SkyNews reports. He was 82 years old.
In a statement, the actor’s family said: “It is with great sadness that we inform you that Jimmy left us on the evening of July 6.” Details of the death of the star are not given.
James Edmund “Jimmy” Caan was born on March 26, 1940, in Bronx, New York. During his long career, he was nominated for “Oscar”, “Emmy” and “Golden Globe” awards.
His name gained popularity in 1972 after he played the role of Sonny Corleone in Francis Ford Coppola’s film – “The Godfather”. Bulgarian viewers know Kaan from the hit TV series “Las Vegas”, where he played the role of Montecito casino manager Ed Deline.
