The task of the national Outpatient Management System (JIR) is to reduce the waiting time for patients as much as possible and to get medical care as soon as possible, said the parliamentary secretary of the Ministry of the Interior (BM) Kistarcsán on Friday.
Bence Rétvári said at the Flór Ferenc Hospital in Kistarcsa: the task of the system, which has already been launched in ninety outpatient clinics across the country since November, is to help patients receive care as soon as possible as a new function of the Health Window operating within the framework of the Electronic Health Service Area (EESZT).
He added that with the help of the JIR, patients receive an appointment for specialist appointments, which also appears in the health window mobile application. This way, it is possible to better organize patients’ access to the doctor, because the system wants to ensure that “when the doctor is in the office, there are always patients,” the state secretary added. The system will be continuously expanded in the future, so it is expected that it will be possible to book an appointment via the Health Window mobile application this year, said Bence Rétvári.
He added that patients will still be able to book an appointment by phone. However, the reservations will appear in a national system in the future, so it is hoped that the utilization of the clinics will be evened out, added the BM State Secretary.
