The glitz and gloom of the Czech nightingale: some celebrities pulled out Hollywood gowns, others did not offend or excite, and others gave their thumbs down! Vote who you liked

Undoubtedly, even in our little Czech backwater, we can find celebrities who really understand fashion, and their wardrobe would easily compete with foreign stars even outside the red carpet. But there are still few of them, just like the original creators. Who shined and whose choice of outfits didn’t go well at all?

This worked

The best dresses were worn by women who were definitely not medal contenders. But in a fashion contest, they would surely have made it to the podium. Except for Ewa Farna, who often makes conservative viewers jump out of their seats in her dresses, but she sure knows how to wear them. In a model worthy of the Grammy Awards, she was unmistakable. And who wouldn’t like it, maybe she could at least appreciate the fact that the singer didn’t look for clothes from well-known designers, whose models abounded at the gala evening.

Model and singer Andrea Kalousová had a lucky hand in choosing, who opted for a classic black from the workshop of the talented Zuzana Lešak Černá. She could easily walk the Oscars red carpet in a gown with a plunging neckline embellished with feathers and a dangerously high slit. Singer Monika Bagárová, who literally shone in a glittering dress by designer Sandra Mark, whose domain is wedding dresses, would undoubtedly stand out with her style at a foreign event.

Another successful but very daring model was presented for the older years by the little-known singer Dominique Alagia, who participated in the show The Czech Republic is looking for a SuperStar. The pioneer of such dresses, Jennifer Lopez, could most likely reach for such an outfit. Beautiful, but probably still too busy for a Czech social event.

The men also scored

The thumbs up definitely goes to Richard Krajčo, who, following the example of foreign stars like Timothée Chalamet or Harry Styles, wore a translucent blouse decorated with a glittering scarf. Jan Bendig is also courageous and moreover very original, who opted for a trouser suit with a train. However, that’s not all. The pattern print was very unusual. Designer Debbie Brown projected the likenesses of every Czech Nightingale winner in sixty years onto the entire model.

This failed

Many of the women featured fell into the “not inspiring, not offending” category, sadly including Golden Nightingale winner Lucie Bílá, TV Nova regular Lucie Borhyová, or possibly actress Patricie Pagáčová. There was generally nothing wrong with their patterns, but at the same time they didn’t have any overlays either.

However, she was definitely the one that had the “overhang”. the controversial Lela Vémola, whose silicone breasts protruded so far from the plunging neckline that no one noticed the rest of the dress. It’s not absolutely necessary to wear a turtleneck, but it’s desirable to strike a certain balance. This is way over the line. Singer Tereza Mašková also walked next to her, who, like the musical trio Holki, looked like a high school girl at the prom fifteen years ago. Among men, the choice of outfit did not go well for Milan Peroutek, for example, who in a purple velvet Galard suit looked twenty kilos heavier than he actually is.
