The artist’s creative growth began at the Riga High School of Applied Arts in the Stained Glass Department, which she graduated from in 1979, and began working as a prop for the Daile Theater in Riga.
In 1988, Lorence graduated from the Painting Department of the Painting Department of the Latvian Academy of Arts with a diploma thesis. Scenography and costumes for the production of Jānis Rainis’ plays Daugava at the Valmiera Drama Theater, the supervisor was set designer Andris Freibergs.
In the 1988/89 season, Lorence was the chief artist of the Valmiera Drama Theater, and since 1989 she has worked as a teacher and later also as a manager of the Glass Product Design Education Program at the Vocational Education Competence Center. Riga Secondary School of Design and Art.
Her students were designer Artis Nīmanis and architect Māra Ābele, the current head of the Glass Products Design Program at the Riga Secondary School of Design and Art Ilvars Elceris, but one of the first students was the artist, writer and publicist Pauls Bankovskis.
Lorence has been a member of the Latvian Artists’ Union since 1988. Dobichin pointed out that the artist had painted decorative compositions in the style of abstract art with a rich texture and held her first solo exhibition in the salon. A, In Old Riga in 1993.
Lorence has also worked as an interior artist, and as a testament to her creative activity, she has won an important award – the annual award in the category Public interior In the professional competition organized by the Latvian Designers’ Union Design of the Year Award 2008 for the interior of the restaurant Symposium Citadeles Street 12, Riga. The artist’s works are in the Latvian Artists’ Union Museum and other museums, as well as in private collections.
