With the Lacanau Tri’Events and the E.Leclerc Frenchman Triathlon, the Gironde will vibrate to the rhythm of the triathlon in May.
In Gironde, the month of May will rhyme with triathlon. Indeed, the department is home to many events featuring the three triathlon disciplines: swimming, cycling and running. From May 7 and 8, place at the Lacanau Tri’Events, organized, as its name suggests, in Lacanau. The athletes have an appointment for this 7th edition. On the shores of Lake Moutchic in Lacanau, 1364 participants will line up for the 5 distances offered.
There will be the L / Half Ironman (1.9 km swimming, 85 km cycling in 2 loops and 21 km running in 3 loops), lse M and the M in relay (1.5 km swimming , 43 km on a bike and 10 km on foot in 2 loops) and the Tri’Events Kids in cross duathlon mode for 6/9 year olds (200 m on the run, 1 km on the bike and again a 200 m) and for 10/13 year olds (500 m run, 2.5 km bike and again 1 km run).
Two unmissable events for French triathletes
Barely recovered from this first sporting challenge, it is the E.Leclerc Frenchman Triatlon which arrives from May 26 to 29 in Carcans-Maubuisson. The five flagship distances of the discipline will be on the program. There will of course be the XXL (3800 m swim, 180 km bike ride in 2 loops and 42.195 km run races in 4 loops), but also the L Sichel Sport (1900 m swim, 90 km bike ride and 21 km of running) and the Cordeillan-Badges M et Relais (1500 m of swimming, 40 km of cycling and 10 km of running).
Not forgetting the FrenchKids with 4 distinct age groups: 6/7 years old (200m run, 800m bike and again 200m run), 8/9 years old (300m run, 800m bike and 200m run again), 10/11 year olds (400m run, 800m bike and again 200m run) and 12/13 year olds (400m run, 1km600 bike and again 200m run) race).
