The women of the Pôle excellence de football amateur (Pefa) from the Gros Chêne high school in Pontivy spent the week in Colmar where the French UNSS excellence championship was taking place. “Surrounded by the sixteen best national sports sections, our players had a very good tournament,” notes Brieuc Razer, head of the women’s section who, with his colleague Baptiste Marec, supervised a group of four second-year students, nine first-year students and five of terminal.
“Impeccable players”
“We came out of a big pool with Dijon and Paris FC. In the quarters, we beat the Strasbourgeoises at home, after the penalty shootout and we lost in the semi-final against Valencienne. We lost the match for third place against Roubaix on penalties. This takes nothing away from their background. They were flawless on and off the field. They lived a great human and sporting adventure. In addition, we are keeping a good structure for next year, ”congratulates Brieuc Razer.
Note that the group was accompanied by a student from the arbitration section of the Pontivyan high school, Gaétan Flocon who obtained his national certification.
