The girl was admitted to the Marie Curie hospital, in critical but stable condition Romania

The child is on dialysis in the nephrology ward of the Marie Curie hospital in Bucharest.

In the county of Argeş, the analyzes carried out on the samples collected in the case of the 1 year and 8 month old girl transferred on Friday to the Marie Curie hospital in the capital with the suspicion of haemolytic uremic syndrome do not attest to a dangerous presence of the E-Coli bacterium.

According to our correspondent Cristian Matei, the Bucharest Institute of Hygiene and Public Health today sent the analysis bulletin to the County Directorate of Health, Veterinary and Food Safety.

Currently, the patient’s condition is critical, but stable. He is on dialysis in the Nephrology Department of the Marie Curie Hospital in Bucharest.

Our colleague Andreea Daraban of Radio Romania Iasi says that the 1 year and 2 month old girl from Bacău, admitted to the Pediatric Hospital of Iasi, in intensive care with suspicion of haemolytic uremic syndrome, is in a stable condition.

The prognosis, however, remains reserved, despite the improvement in symptoms.

The director of the health unit, Radu Terinte, announces that this afternoon the patient was removed from peritoneal dialysis, but that tomorrow he will be re-evaluated by a team of specialists from the institute.
