The Cooperative has started a campaign to collect food and basic necessities in favor of Red Cross of Asturias and invite your customers to collaborate with the NGO in its campaign of action against COVID-19.
The initiative will be carried out in all establishments in Gijón, Carreño, Villaviciosa, Nava and Infiesto, where customers can deposit these products in places enabled for this purpose. To the contributions, La Cooperative will be added by making a own contribution to the NGO in accordance with the purchases of its clients destined for the campaign and is negotiations with different providers so that they join to the initiative and collaborate in different ways.
This initiative wants to reinforce the actions of the plan ‘Red Cross Responds’, whose objective is reduce the impact generated by the pandemic of the coronavirus through the adaptation of the services and regular activities of the Spanish Red Cross, adopting new measures to prevent the health risks and social difficulties that derive from this crisis and supporting public administrations to ensure the continuity of the responses to the population in general and, above all, people in situations of greater vulnerability.
The priority products for this campaign will be, in the case of children, potitos, milks of different ages, products of hygiene, wipes and cereals for babies and diapers children. For the whole population: milk, preserves (vegetable stew, mushrooms, asparagus, carrots, peas, olives, …), preserved fruits, legumes, pasta, rice, dairy (milk, cheeses, drinkable yogurts, …), packaged sausages, cereals and bleach.
