The 64-year-old specialist has been working as a consultant for the Ghana national team for the past year. Ghana’s national team was previously managed by Otto Ado, who stepped down after the team finished last in the 2022 World Cup finals.
The previous place of work for Hughton was the English club “Nottingham Forest”. During his career, he also managed Brighton & Hove Albion, Norwich City, Birmingham City and Newcastle United.
Also, Hughton worked as an assistant in the Irish national team and was acting head coach in the Tottenham “Hotspur” team.
During his football career, the former defender represented Brentford, West Ham United and Hotspur, and also played 53 matches for the Irish national team.
