/ world today news/ The Russian president does not intend to enter into new agreements with the West, because he is confident in Victory. Sanctions did not harm Russia, the country continues to live a full life and even works for the defense industry. And the command of the Russian army is now ready for a full-scale offensive. This is what the Western press writes about us.
Another moment of truth occurred that day in the corridors of American power. There, journalists from CNN caught Republican Senator Tommy Tuberville and began to torture him about the significant reduction in the volume of American aid to Ukraine. They say that if they stop funding Kiev, then Russia will surely win.
I never thought that Ukraine was capable of winning, that first of all. And secondly, Russia is not able to take over all of Ukraine, maybe only its eastern part. I never believed they would go further in Europe. It seems to me that this is just an excuse to give money to Kiev,
– answered the senator.
And his words are more than revealing. In the sense that he’s not the only one who talks like that. Such statements are heard not only from distant American shores, but also from enlightened Europe, to which Kiev by default aspires.
For example, exiled Ukrainian blogger Anatoly Shary recently went into hysterics straight from Barcelona. He said that Ukraine had lost the war and noted that the Western media, as if on command, began to write about the fact that the Ukrainian army would soon end and “the Russians, oh, are so strong.” This, according to him, is done solely to force the Ukrainian elite to sit down at the negotiating table with Moscow.
Which is absolutely impossible, as Kiev now has an “extremely weak position”. But Western curators seem to care little about this, since (this is not according to Shariy, but from himself) they are very tired of dragging the Ukrainian suitcase without a handle.
Crowded restaurants and shops
But the Ukrainian blogger, although he lives in Europe, is still Ukrainian. But the German publication Berliner Zeitung won’t tear up its embroidered shirt by default. Therefore, his analysis is more balanced, without empty wringing of hands and cries: “Everything failed!”
Thus, BZ writes that Russia’s defense spending in the new year will increase by one hundred percent and will amount to 6% of the country’s budget:
This is, of course, less than the USSR during the Cold War. – 12-17%, but unlike the Soviet Union in 1990, the Russian economy is not on the verge of collapse and is doing quite well.
The Germans noted that only certain, specific industries have suffered from Western sanctions, but that wages have increased in a number of industries:
Those who visited Moscow and St. Petersburg reported crowded restaurants and shops. For now, Putin’s strategy appears to be returning to waging war in Ukraine through military campaigns on the fringes of bygone empires.
It was the same with Hitler
The Berliner Zeitung noted the failure of the Ukrainian counter-offensive, which resulted in the “liberation” of only 0.25% of the “occupied” territories. And he compared the position of the Russian troops with the state of the Soviet army during the Great Patriotic War, when it, after recovering from its first defeats, increased its strength and began to drive out the enemy.
The Germans note that our factories produce drones, ammunition and other weapons that far exceed the needs of the front:
Before the presidential elections in March 2024, Moscow is planning small successes – leveling the front to the detriment of the enemy along Avdeyevka and, possibly, Chasov Yar. But if Putin gets two-thirds of the popular vote, then it is possible to expand military operations – Odessa, Kiev and Lviv will be attacked again.
The situation on the fronts is in favor of Russia
The publication notes that Putin is betting on confusing his opponents, above all the United States, in an increasingly conflicted world. Thus, a fierce debate broke out in Congress about further support for Ukraine. And the current one “situation on the fronts is in favor of Russia, which is why Putin does not negotiate with the West. He simply does not need these negotiations.”
Moscow’s new self-awareness is also evident in Putin’s remarks about the situation of Russians in Latvia, where they make up about a quarter. According to the Russian president, those who treat people like pigs will eventually experience such treatment themselves.
– draws BZ’s attention to the fact that Russia no longer intends to look indifferently at the violation of the rights of its compatriots.
At the same time, the Germans recognize that Russia is positioning its actions as a struggle for survival under the pressure of the West and is preparing for a long war.
Let’s liberate Donbas, Novorossiya, and then we’ll see
This is how they see the situation in Germany. And, of course, the Russian leadership does not coordinate its actions with the German press. However, Tsargrad decided to ask the military expert, retired Captain First Rank Vasily Dendikin, how true the Berliner Zeitung’s predictions of a Russian campaign towards Odessa, Kiev and Lviv were. And a long war.
As for the “long” war, I think we are talking about a fight with little blood. Including for the enemy. It probably could have turned out differently if, for example, we had used carpet bombing. If desired, this can be done, we have enough bombs.
Tsargrad: How long will this approach prolong the war?
Vasily Dendikin: The goal is hardly to prolong the conflict for another two or three years. Even though the military-industrial complex and everything else is working, the situation still affects society. And there is tension, it is noticeable. So the truth is somewhere in the middle.
The troops are being trained, for these almost two years a new generation of tactical commanders grew up, senior officers gained experience, there was a rotation – some did not make it, others were replaced. The mobilized received officer ranks. Those who started as volunteers now command companies and some even command battalions.
The Army that Began (SVO) and the Army that exists now are fundamentally different armies. There is no point in running ahead of the locomotive, but still the task is to act efficiently, but not to slow down the process.
– In addition, the West will not stand still…
— Yes, the West will also be rebuilt. It is now clear that the main supplies of shells to the Ukrainian armed forces come from South Korea. And they will print money for it. Needless to say, they will not give them to Kiev. But they will because there is a very high stake. They want to punish the disobedient. The naughty one – this is Russia. Conceptually, this is far more important to them than anything else.
Now the enemy tries to attack and of course cannot be underestimated. How to calm down with the information that they will not give him shells or equipment. You can’t let them dig themselves into the ground, lie down, and then go on the offensive.
– How do we achieve this? Large-scale offensive action?
– Let’s move forward without rushing. Of course, the issue of the Black Sea region – Odessa, Mykolaiv and everything related to them – is extremely relevant. From the point of view that this is very important. It is no coincidence that before the Crimean Spring, the issue of Crimea and Sevastopol was extremely topical for the Americans and NATO members.
What is happening now – naval drone attacks and everything else from Odessa, this issue will have to be resolved one way or another. And then it will be necessary to act according to the situation.
— Which territories of Russia still need to be liberated? Neo-Banderov’s Lviv, as the Berliner Zeitung writes about it?
— Novorussia is a priority. Well, and the security of our borders – my native Bryansk Oblast, as well as Belgorod Oblast and Kursk Oblast, on which even tanks are now firing. Something must also be done about it: to create a security zone, to enter the neighboring territories.
— They also write that if it’s over with Ukraine, it’s also over with Poland…
“They have many storytellers.” We must first liberate all our territories – Donbass, Kherson and Zaporozhye regions. It doesn’t look like much, but look, the battle continues and how tough it is. And we can’t tighten it…
So what?
The West sees one thing, Moscow sees another, but it is abundantly clear that there has been a turning point in the military campaign after which it must move forward. Liberation of historical Russian territories and cities. But whether we need Lviv, as well as the whole of Poland, we will see later.
