Kai Havertz annoyed at being questioned about the act of keeping your mouth shut German national team before being defeated by the Japanese a World Cup 2022. Havertz admitted that the German team currently only wants to focus on the match against Spain on Sunday (27/11).
The German national team players received a lot of flak after losing to Japan. Most think that Hansi Flick’s team is more focused on the issue of One Love’s rainbow captain’s armband ban and silent gesture than focusing on the match.
“I haven’t been in the best mood these past few days. I’m very angry. I can understand the negative response right now, from fans and the media,” Havertz said as quoted by DW extension.
“I also know there will always be a lot of criticism against us and not everyone is behind us,” said the Chelsea player.
In the press conference ahead of Spain-Germany, Havertz started to get annoyed when reporters asked him what his best position on the pitch was.
“The questions about this position started to bug me. Everyone knows I can play right, left, as a number nine or 10,” said Havertz.
The 23-year-old was annoyed again when reporters asked about support for the LGBT community and One Love’s rainbow captaincy.
“We know that in this tournament we probably won’t get as much support as we normally would. In the first game I felt a little less support, but let’s hope everyone supports us on Sunday [lawan Spanyol]Havertz said.
“As regards the captaincy, we have expressed our intentions. We are now 100% focused on football,” continued the former Bayer Leverkusen player.
