The German pianist Lambert will start his European tour in the concert hall “Latvija” – Ventspils

Saturday, October 5, at At 17.00 in the concert hall “Latvija”, the German pianist and composer Lambert, who went on a European tour to celebrate the release of the new album “Actually Good”, will play the one concert in the Baltic States.

At the concert, Lambert will perform with Lukas Marīnis (drums) and Félix Veitas (double bass), and Ventspils will have the opportunity to experience the first European tour concert of Lambert’s new album “Actually Good “. The Hamburg-born pianist has been very prolific so far. He released his first album “Lambert” ten years ago, but “Actually Good” is already the ninth collection of his works. Lambert also released four mini albums and wrote film music, which can also be heard on the latest album.

Although Lambert’s music is sometimes described as neoclassical, the composer himself admits that his heart is in pop culture, but his music and musical style are the most influential on the improvised music and jazz he discovered in his teens. “Jazz has the biggest influence on how I play, how I understand music. Thanks to that, I feel free when I play,” the artist explains to the music publication “ZoneOut”.

Lambert is always seen in public wearing a traditional Sardinian mask, which is more than just an accessory for the German pianist and composer. It is an integral part of his artistic image, helping to create a unique musical experience, while at the same time giving his concerts an exciting atmosphere. “The mask helps me feel free and not feel pressure when I show my real self to the audience. Sometimes it is not comfortable to wear, but I think it would be even more uncomfortable without a mask. I don’t understand how people do it, because I would feel very insecure in that situation. And would a face really be the most accurate representation of my true self? When you’re performing in front of people, you’re always thinking about how to present yourself to the best of your ability, but it’s the same as wearing a mask, isn’t it? e, “Lambert confidently unconfident and mysterious.

The concert is organized by SIA “Kurzemes Philharmonic” with financial support from the city of Ventspils.
