VALENCIA (EFE). The five million euros that the Generalitat will allocate to the hotels of the Valencian Community participating in the Imserso program will be obtained from the remains existing in the Edifican Plan for the construction and improvement of educational centers.
This was stated in the Consell agreement, signed by the executive vice president, Aitana moreas Secretary of the Minister, and published in the Official Gazette of the Generalitat (DOGV), which authorizes this assignment of credits for an amount of 5,000,000 euros.
Specifically, a credit assignment is authorized from the line “Financing delegated powers in the field of educational infrastructures. Secondary education”, which are not linked to pending commitments or definitive financing.
These are resources budgeted to finance the actions of the municipalities under the Edificant plan that have not yet been used.
From the Ministry of Public Education, they have specified to EFE that when drawing up the budget, a calculation is made of the actions that the Municipalities intend to carry out and an item is recorded, which is paid as the Generalitat receives the certifications of the actions that the municipalities intend to carry out. common.
However, sometimes there are delays in municipal procedures, which leave a residue that can be used for other actions, such as, in this case, the coverage of aid to the hotels participating in Imserso, which will receive 6.70 euros per day and room occupied, with a maximum of 500,000 euros.
This does not mean that money is taken from the municipalities, they specify to the Conselleria, since once the documents are certified, Consell delivers the money necessary to cover the expenses.
At this moment, about two months after the end of the year and the entry into force of the new regional budget, the line “Financing the delegation of powers in the field of educational infrastructures. Secondary education”, has a total of 55.4 million .
Of these, five million will be transferred to Turisme Comunitat Valenciana, for the inclusion of a direct grant line under concession called “Direct aid to businesses and owners of hotels in the Valencian Community affected by the war in Ukraine participating in the Imserso Tourism Program. in 2022 “.
