Military goods produced in Latvia will be sent to the defense forces of Ukraine

Next week, on September 20, at 12:30 p.m., military goods manufactured in Latvia will be sent to the Ukrainian Defense Forces, Ilze Ošāne, communications manager of “Ziedot.lv”, informed LETA agency.

On the “Ziedot.lv” portal, 22.8 million euros have been donated to support Ukraine, of which 13.2 million euros are for the Ukrainian defense forces. These are donations from Latvian residents and companies to express support for Ukraine and help defeat the full-scale war started by Russia.

Continuing to help Ukraine, “Ziedot.lv” launched the “Good News” donation campaign last November, in which everyone was invited to donate funds for the purchase of military goods produced in Latvia for defenders of Ukrainian freedom. Four military scooters, nine quadricycles and platforms, two light poles with generators and an autonomous power supply system were already sent to Ukraine for the donated funds.

The next shipment – the demining robot “LABAIS” and 400 ammunition neutralization kits – has been completed with the donated funds.

The event will be attended by the head of “Ziedot.lv” Rūta Dimanta, the head of “LV-Teh” Uģis Svirido, the head of “Teters” Neils Sniedziņš, the ambassador of Ukraine Anatolijs Kutsevols, the State Secretary of the Ministry of Defense Jānis Garisons.

The event will take place at Brīvības street 197b.
