The Deputy Secretary General of Hezbollah, Sheikh Naim Qassem, received in his office the Coordinator General of the Islamic Action Front in Lebanon, Sheikh Dr. Zuhair Othman Al-Jaid.
During the meeting local and regional conditions and events were discussed, in particular as regards the election of the President of the Republic and the regularity of institutional work as a whole, and as regards the situation in occupied Palestine.
After the meeting, Sheikh Al-Jaid said, “I was honored by the visit of Hezbollah Deputy Secretary General, His Eminence Sheikh Naim Qassem, for whom we have all respect and appreciation, especially in his tireless work for the country’s interest and his passion for the united approach of the resistance”.
And he underlined “the need for serious work to elect a president of the republic, far from the method of defiance and arrogance, who works in the interest of the country and the unity of its people, and who supports the strength of the Lebanon and does not backstab the resistance”.
Sheikh Al-Juaid referred to the “low political and media slander in the case of the accidental and involuntary killing of the Irish soldier in Al-Aqabiya”, considering that “the positions issued by some partisan parties and forces and officers are positions that smell of a conspiracy targeting the resistance, which is the strength of Lebanon in the face of the Zionist enemy.” Address the internal conflict and work for the unity of the country and the unity of its people and institutions.
He asked, “Where are those forces and personalities regarding Israel’s repeated attacks? Where are their complaints, especially when sister Syria is exposed to aggression from Lebanese airspace? And where are their passion for sovereignty and their defense of the homeland by land, sea and air?”
Jaeed also praised “the sacrifices of the Palestinian resistance and the Palestinian people in struggle”, considering that “the ongoing jihadist operations in the West Bank and the adoption of the resistance option
