Vox held the next month of march Ordinary General Assembly in the Palace of Vistalegre of Madrid. The days chosen are the 7th and 8th of march, coinciding with the celebration of international Women’s Day.
The General Assembly is the largest conclave, internal Vox and is celebrated every year at the end of February or beginning of march in compliance with statutes. They are called to participate in it, all of the members of the party.
On previous occasions it has been held on premises with a seating capacity reduced, during only one morning and without the presence of the media, although the interventions are retransmitted by streaming.
For this edition, Vox has decided to multiply the format, reserving for the act the Palace of Vistalegre, with capacity for 15,000 people. The training has been baptized in addition to the congress as ‘Vistalegre III’, a name that alludes ironically to we Can and that also makes reference to the two quotes above that Vox has taken place in this space. The first was the one that was his jump to the national policy in October 2018 and the second a year later as a show of force before the elections of the 10-N.
But in addition, extend the appointment for all weekend. On Saturday 7th will take place the Ordinary Assembly, and the Sunday 8 a big public event led by the main party leaders: Santiago Abascal, Iván Espinosa de los Monteros, Javier Ortega Smith and Dew Monastery, among others.
Primary before the summer
Among other matters, the Assembly of Vox will be on the agenda the call for primary elections in all the provinces to consolidate its territorial structure, elections that are expected to be held before the summer. Currently the party leadership is in the hands of money managers in at least half of the Spanish provinces.
Among other sites, the direction of Vox is in the situation of provisionality in provinces such as Murcia, Almería, Granada, Jaén, Huelva, Las Palmas, Albacete, Valencia, Alicante, Cáceres, Huesca, Teruel, Barcelona, Lleida, Navarra, La Rioja, Álava, Ávila, Valladolid, Zamora, Palencia, León, galicia’s four provinces and Ceuta.
The statutes of Vox establish that its provincial committees should be constituted by a president, a vice president, a secretary-treasurer and three members who shall be elected every four years by the members of your territory.
To form this organization, the party must have at least 500 members in the province. In the opposite case, the National Executive Committee shall appoint a management committee that will be to your instructions.
