The Draft Law on the Takeover of the Debts of the Cyprus Turkish Electricity Authority to the AKSA Energy Generation Joint Stock Company as a State Debt at the General Assembly of the Assembly of the Republic, the Public Procurement (Amendment) Draft Law and Financial Aid for Earthquake and Other Natural Disasters, which were returned to the Assembly to be discussed again by the President and The Preparatory Act was discussed and approved.
Also at the General Assembly, the resolutions regarding the immediate discussion of the Draft Law on the Energy Supreme Council and the Draft Law on the Establishment, Duties and Working Principles of the Energy Department were accepted in the committee.

UBP Deputy, who took the floor during the discussion of the urgency motions Özdemir Berovataking the floor on behalf of the UBP group, stated that they would vote positively for both laws.
Berova noted that the contract to be signed will not be for 15 years, but for up to 15 years, and that it will pave the way for electricity to come via cable, and this form will be an interconnected system.
Stating that everyone will be informed, Berova said that the reactions stemmed from the fact that the contract was not intended to be made in the best way, but that it was acted with the aim of being directly eliminated.
After Berova’s speech, the motion regarding the immediate discussion of the Energy Supreme Council Draft Law in the committee was unanimously accepted.

The bill regarding the third discussion of the Law on Financial Assistance and Preparedness for Earthquake and Other Natural Disasters, which was returned by the President for further consideration; The bill regarding the third discussion of the Public Procurement (Amendment) Law Draft was accepted by a majority of votes.
