During an episode of the podcast XboxEra, Baker recently revealed that he is aware of plans for a Microsoft game series that will receive the same treatment as Halo received with “The Master Chief Collection”. That is, a package with all the games in the series, updated graphics and multiplayer.
Baker initially hesitated to say which series it was, but then confirmed that it is about Gears of War and that the launch may be already in the autumn.
– If you go from November 2021 to November 2022 and you watch Microsoft’s launches of big games, it could end up being Halo, Gears and Forza.
Forza Horizon 5 arrived in November last year, while Halo Infinite had its official launch the following month. Thus, Gears of War remains, whose last main game was Gears 5 from 2019.
According to the website VGC developer The Coalition has just begun work on a new Gears of War game. Exactly how this game will be is not clear, but maybe we will learn more about both it and about a potential Gears collection package below Microsoft and Bethesda’s summer show next month.
