With more than 400 members in the departments of Hérault and Tarn, the Network of Gardeners of the Haut-Languedoc Regional Natural Park aims to raise awareness of sustainable gardening practices.
Several actions and events are set up each year, in particular plant exchange grants and good advice in order to promote better waste management, water conservation, composting, the use of fertilizers. ecological… These are all points included in the charter of the Regional Nature Park aimed at changing behavior in order to live better in the country.
The high point of this green program remains the garden competition in which all enthusiasts are invited to participate in the spring. Registration is free and, during the months of June and July, a jury will visit all the achievements with a view to awarding the various prizes in various categories (vegetable gardens, amenities, educational…). The winners will receive their rewards during the Gardeners’ Festival which, in the fall, brings together all the green hands of the territory.
