Microsoft and Nintendo may talk about relative success, but it’s no surprise that the PlayStation studios didn’t take a single statuette. Only The Last of Us series received the award for best adaptation.
Spider-Man 2 is one of the biggest losers of the event, as it received seven nominations – only Baldur’s Gate 3 and Alan Wake 2 have more (8) – but did not take home any awards.

And if you look at the comments to the post, you can see many reviews from fans who believe that Spider-Man 2 was simply “robbed.”
Spider-Man 2 competed for the following awards – game of the year (winner Baldur’s Gate 3), best direction (Alan Wake 2), best narrative (Alan Wake 2), best audio design (Hi-Fi Rush), best acting (Baldur’s Gate 3 ), innovation in accessibility (Forza Motorsport), best adventure (The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom).
Insomniac Games’ game lost not only to the main winners of the event (Baldur’s Gate 3, Alan Wake 2), but also to games from Microsoft (Hi-Fi Rush, Forza Motorsport) and Nintendo (The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom).
