The biggest video game event, The Game Awards 2021, was brought exclusively to the entire audience of THE NEWSPAPER Through their social networks and our special page “Gamexrs”, in addition to different prizes such as Funkos, Pokemon cards and augmented reality viewers were given away.
This special broadcast was hosted by the host of Friky News and expert in video games and anime Micia Villanueva, we also have the presence of Ernesto “Osillo90” Chapa, who studied Videogame Programming and got to know this industry in Canada, as well as the streamer de Twitch y Facebook Gaming, “Don Teca”, in the company of his character “El Guadañas”, who interacted online with the audience that witnessed this award live.
Within the 2021 edition there were too many surprises, the favorite to take the night was Deathloop, with nine nominations, however, he could only keep two awards, Best Direction and
Best Art Direction, which made him the big loser of the night.
The Best Game of the Year went to It Takes Two, which was also awarded as Best Family Game and Best Multiplayer Game; Developed by Hazelight Studios and Electronic Arts, this award turns out to be deserved for a video game with good themes and playability.
One of the great disappointments for the Spanish-speaking public was that as many as Ibai Llanos and “The Grefg” have not been able to reach the award for Best Videogame Content Creator, which was awarded to the streamer “Dream”, which already has 27.5 million followers on your YouTube page.
